Betty, at 72 years of age, entered into eternal peace on Friday, January 16, 2015 at St. Mary's Hospital. Betty was born on May 28, 1942, a daughter of the late Richard and Alice Johnson. One of four sisters and two brothers. She met Roger Badry at the tender age of 14 years. They married April 30, 1960 sharing 54 years together, and were blessed with two children Rhonda and Darren. Betty was a consummate mother, homemaker, and enjoyed preparing meals for her family and friends. She enjoyed her hobbies of drawing in her younger years, and enjoyed making crafts with her daughter-in-law Angela and her niece Cheryl. Garage sales were another hobby of hers, whether she was having one herself with friends, or going to them. Betty also enjoyed having company over for chat and a hot cup of coffee. Birthdays and Christmas' were also important events in her life. Betty loved shopping, loved to socialize, but especially loved to share her laughter among family and friends. Betty had four beautiful grandchildren which she also loved dearly and cherished all the memories with them. Betty also had four great-granddaughters through extended family that she came to love. Left to cherish her memory are her husband Roger, her two children, Rhonda (Paul Behrens) of Camrose, and Darren (Angela) also of Camrose. She is also survived by her four grandchildren and two sisters. Betty was predeceased by her parents, two sisters and two brothers. A Prayer Vigil was held on Thursday, January 22, 2015 at 7:00pm., from The Burgar Memorial Chapel. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Friday, January 23, 2015 at 11:00am. from St. Francis Xavier Roman Catholic Church with Rev. Larry Pederson as celebrant. Interment has taken place in The Camrose Valleyview Cemetery. If friends so desire memorial contributions are gratefully accepted to The Alberta Lung Association.
