Obituary of Stanley LaBelle
Please share a memory of Stanley to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
With deep sadness we announce the passing of Stanley Labelle on January 20, 2015.
Stanley was an amazing man who successfully learned and held many diverse types of roles and jobs during his lifetime - son, brother, friend, animal lover, handyman, pilot, builder, surveyor, miner, tailor, welder and radio mechanic are just a few of the roles he had.
Even though Stanley struggled with health issues throughout his life, these health issues never stopped him from doing anything he really wanted to do.
Animals (particularly dogs) instinctively knew that Stanley was a friend. It was common to see neighbourhood dogs or strays enjoying a hearty stew when you went to visit Stanley.
Stanley is survived by his sister Marie Allan of North Vancouver and numerous nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Stanley was predeceased by his brothers George and Alvin and his sister Kathleen Dowler. Stanley will be missed by friends, family and neighbourhood animals.
A Funeral Service was held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, January 31, 2015 from the Round Hill Agriplex with Rev. Bill Harder officiating. Interment has taken place in Bosmans Memorial Gardens, Round Hill.
If family and friends so desire, memorial contributions are gratefully accepted to the Alberta SPCA, or to the Edmonton Humane Society.
