Nevis Charlotte Charchun of Camrose, formerly of Forestburg, passed away on Monday, February 2, 2015 at the age of 66 years.
Nevis was born in Edmonton, Alberta on December 31st, 1948 to Ed and Ida Robb. She grew up on University Avenue with her twin sister Glenys and older sisters Nancy and Ada. She obtained her nursing degree from the University of Alberta in 1971.
Nevis married her childhood sweetheart, Marshall, in 1969. They raised their two children, Bob and Jenny, in Forestburg, Alberta. They had many happy years together. Marshall and Nevis moved to Camrose in 2006. It was at this time that Nevis was able to continue her beloved nursing career. This meant the world to her and her last days were spent doing the work she loved.
Her memory will be cherished by her loving husband of 45 years, Marshall. Nevis also leaves behind son Bob (Shelley) Charchun of Camrose and daughter Jenny Charchun (Michael Reynolds) of Whitehorse, YT; and her five precious grandchildren: Kyler, Kobe, Syth, Rue and Presley. She is also survived by her sisters Ada (Glyn) Wynn and Glenys (Al) Edwards, and brothers-in-law Barry (Diane) Charchun and Dwight Charchun and sister-in-law Emily Charchun, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by her loving parents Ed and Ida Robb, sister Nancy (Trevor) Quigley, and mother and father-in-law Tony and Vera Charchun.
A Memorial Service was held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, February 9, 2015 from Calvary Pentecostal Church (4920 - 48 Street).
If family and friends so desire, memorial contributions are gratefully accepted to S.T.A.R.S., the Heart and Stroke Foundation, or to the Stollery Children's Hospital.
