Boyd Martin Batsch of Camrose passed away on Monday, March 2, 2015 at the age of 64 years.
Boyd Martin Batsch was born February 25, 1951 to parents Wally and Nellie in Camrose. It was here that Boyd received his schooling at Charlie Killam and Camrose Composite High School. For a short period Boyd worked and lived in Edmonton before health concerns brought him back home to Camrose. Boyd again found work, this time with Camrose Valley View Cemetery. Living in Camrose, Boyd enjoyed spending holidays sharing meals with family.
Among his many interests, Boyd enjoyed following hockey; especially the Kodiaks, CFL Football, as well as collecting hockey memorabilia such as his prized signed Blackhawks Bobby Hull jersey. A fan of old movies, Boyd also had a sizeable collection of DVD's and television box sets.
He will be remembered by those who knew him as a kind and gentle soul; well liked and known in the community.
Boyd was predeceased by his parents Wally and Nellie.
Left to mourn his passing are his brother Brian (Sharon) of Edmonton; sister Karen (Jim) Mandseth of Camrose; and his nieces and nephews.
