Karl Heinz Renner of Camrose passed away on March 15, 2015 at the age of 90. Karl Heinz was born October 8, 1924 in Wansen, Poland to Fritz and Marta Renner. He immigrated from Germany to Canada in 1965 with his young family. Originally living in Edmonton, he moved to Camrose in 1970 where he worked as a baker for Safeway until he retired in 1988. Karl enjoyed camping and especially fishing. Many many hours were spent in the fishing boat. Karl also enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren; teaching them to fish, watching them play hockey, soccer, baseball and dance. Left to cherish his memory are his wife Ruth; his children Bernd Renner, Axel Renner, Thomas (Annamary) Renner of Sherwood Park, Ulrike (Roland) McArthur of Edmonton, Peter (Shelley) Renner of Edmonton; his grandchildren Darcy, Jay, Ryan, Sabrina, Carl, Emily and Jeremy; and his sisters Marga and Rosi and brother Hans of Germany. Karl was predeceased by his parents and his brothers Horst and Joachim. A Funeral Service was held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, March 20, 2015 from the Burgar Memorial Chapel with Rev. Bill Harder officiating. Inurnment has taken place in the Camrose Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are gratefully accepted to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, the Alberta Lung Association, or to the charity of one's choice.
