Obituary of Barbara "Barbie" Hills

Barbie was born in Camrose, Alberta and the eldest child of Wayne and Lucille Hills: Linda (son Nicholas) Margot (daughter Kristy and son Kevin) Leta (Daryl, sons Derrick and Devin and daughter Breanna) Penny (sons Corey and Andy) Buck (Karen, son Jacob, daughters Jessica, Kaytlyn, Laura, Angela and Leta) Al (Theresa, daughters Sarah and Alexandra and son Christopher) Bev (Theo, daughter Kayla) Barb was predeceased by her Mother and Father. Pink! Pink! Pink! Everything pink! That was Barbie! Barbie touched the lives of all those she met and knew. She was genuinely interested in their lives and their stories. She made friends readily and formed many over the years. Everyone was her "friend". Giving "raspberries" was her typical way of saying good-bye and it made each and everyone of us feel special and loved. She was happy, honest to a fault, so very proud of her family and such an inspiration. Her sense of humour, child-like innocence and no-nonsense attitude was so refreshing. Barbie's gentle and joyful spirit brought happiness to all who surrounded her. She will be greatly missed and forever remembered. A public visitation will be held on Saturday April 4, 2015 from 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm from the Burgar Memorial Chapel. A funeral service was held on Sunday April 5, 2015 at 1:00 pm from The Burgar Memorial Chapel with Rev. Brian Hunter officiating. Inurnment to follow at a later date in the Skafse cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are gratefully accepted to Camrose Centra-Cam .
