Daniel Raymond Zietarsky was born to Frank and Annie Zietarski on September 3, 1942 in Camrose, Alberta. He is survived by his siblings, Stan Zietarski of Australia, Joyce Zietarski of Edmonton, and Len (Deb) Zietarski of Medicine Hat. He passed away in Camrose Friday April 17, 2015 at the age of 72. On October 29, 1966 Dan married the love of his life Denise Chartrand. Their family tree grew to include two sons, Darrell (Laura Lipinski) Zietarsky of Camrose, and Douglas (Jaimie) Zietarsky of Camrose, and four grandchildren Jarrett (Aleah), Danielle, Daylon and Andrew Zietarsky. Over the years Dan had a variety of jobs; including Imperial Lumber and Revelstoke Lumber in both Bashaw and Camrose, he then opened Timberline Building supplies, and rounded out his working years at Garneau. Dan was an active community member, volunteering with many organizations including Fire Departments, Emergency services, and Centra Cam. Dan will be remembered for his love of his family, hockey, fishing, garage sales/selling, farmers markets, his immaculate yard, and playing crib out at the farm. Dan touched the hearts of many young spirits as he kept the tradition of SANTA alive. Dan was predeceased by his parents and his granddaughter Grace Zietarsky. A Funeral Service was held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, April 22, 2015 from Calvary Pentecostal Church with Rev. Brian Hunter officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are gratefully accepted to the Camrose Fire Fighters Association, or Centra Cam.
