Obituary of Thomas "Tom" Sieben

Thomas Matthew Sieben of Camrose passed away on April 20, 2015 at the age of 58. Thomas (Tom) Sieben was born May 4, 1956 in Macklin, Saskatchewan to John and Martha Sieben. Tom was the brother to Alvin, Yvonne, and Audrey. Tom was raised in Major, Saskatchewan then moved to Camrose, Alberta in 1970 with his family. On August 2, 1980 Tom married Brenda Cross (Wilson), born to this marriage they had three children Bradley, Janelle, and Michael. During this time Tom apprenticed to become a journeymen brick layer and went into business for himself. Tom was a man of all trades, but as many people would know his passion was for bricklaying. Tom was always very generous, he was a man that would give you the shirt off his back. Tom enjoyed coaching hockey, playing slow pitch, hunting, playing card games, socializing, and had an absolute love for dogs. In August 2011 Tom decided to start a new chapter in his life and moved to Nepean, Ontario. Tom came home to Camrose on March 26, 2015 to be with his family where he was more peaceful in his final resting place and had the love and support of his family. Tom was a fighter, battling cancer for six long years and will be dearly missed. Tom is survived by his children: Brad Sieben (Jennifer Hormann) Grandchildren Alyssa and Blake Sieben, Janelle Sieben (Rob McTavish); grandchild Harper McTavish, Michael Sieben (Amanda Carlton); Special Companion Florence Fawcett; and siblings: Alvin Sieben (Lillian), Yvonne Borosevich (Ed), and Audrey Johnson (Larry). Tom was predeceased by his mother and father; Martha and John Sieben. A funeral service was held on Friday April 24, 2015 at 10:30 am from the Burgar Memorial Chapel. Inurnment has taken place in the Camrose Cemetery. Memorial contributions are gratefully accepted to the S.P.C.A.
