Obituary of Helen Molhoek

Helen Molhoek of Viking, formerly of Camrose, passed away Thursday May 7th, 2015, at the age of 97 years. Helen Molhoek was born on March 11, 1918 in Holland, to Cornelius (Kees) and Mina Nouse. She grew up in Wilhelminadorp with her three siblings. On August 28, 1941, Helen married Adrian Molhoek, her one and only! They immigrated to Canada with their two daughters in 1952. Helen was a loving, warm-hearted, intelligent, hard-working, meticulous house wife and a fabulous cook. She was always willing to lend a helping hand and enjoyed hosting afternoon coffee parties. She loved to bake, read, sing, bike, shop, swim, but her greatest joy was to spend quality time with her family. She was predeceased by her daughter Ineka Sipma, two sisters, and one brother. She is survived by her loving husband of 73 years Adrian Molhoek; one daughter Margaret (David) Gibson; son-in-law Klaas (Toos) Sipma; five grandchildren, Lana Stefura, Ruth Bibby, Kathy (Shaune) Sagert, Shawn (Harmony) Sipma, Travis(Breanna) Sipma ; 14 great-grandchildren Wyatt, Alan, Reanna, Jasmyn, Jared, Joel, Colten, Lee, Madeline, Mac, Grace, Camden, Rylan and Baron, numerous nieces, nephews and extended family in Holland, and friends. A funeral service for Helen Molhoek was held Friday, May 15, 2015, at 10:30 a.m. from the Burgar Memorial Chapel. Inurnment has taken place in the Holden Cemetery. If friends so desire, memorial donation are gratefully accepted to the United Church , Holden; Ronald McDonald House Charities, Canada; or the charity of one's choice.
