Dear Arlene, Valerie and I extend our deepest sympathy on Alver's passing. I have three particularly fond memories of Alver: 1. On a Rotary ski trip to Jasper he told me how important skiing was as a family activity. 2. Meeting Alver on skis (often) on the golf course on a cold winter afternoon. 3. Serving on the Bethany fund raising committee with you when it was announce that a large donation had been made that put our campaign over the top. Alver's eyes filled with tears. Heaven is a richer place with Alver's arrival there. He will always be remembered as a kind and considerate man. Our sympathies go out to all of you. We would have loved to come to partake in the celebration of Alver's life (and enjoy some good old Swedish coffee) but we have a house full of grandchildren with us today. With Deepest Sympathy Arlene, Kathy & Steve , Hans, Luke and Anna John & Carmen I felt bad I didn't get to see Alver before his passing. A couple of days before he passed away as I was going by where he was living I thought I have to stop and see Alver one of there days, before I knew it it was too late. Arlene and family, we are so sorry for your loss. Uncle Alver was a big part of my life growing up as some of my earliest memories were of outings at the farm and Christmas dinners at your house. The values that I cherish today were instilled in being part of the extended Person family. These values I am passing on to my kids and I hope you are somewhat comforted in knowing that the great work that Alver did in the community and for his family, I hope to pass along in some way to my community and my family.
