Obituary of Claude Morin
Please share a memory of Claude to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Mr. Claude Morin of Ferintosh, formerly of Timmins, Ontario passed away peacefully and surrounded by family Tuesday, August 11th, 2015 at the age of 73 years.
Claude was born and raised in Timmins, Ontario; one of seven children born to Leo and Jeanne Morin. As an adult Claude worked underground in various mines in Timmins. Claude got the travel bug and moved to Alberta where he drove truck and trailer for some time before becoming a meat cutter and later a meat manager with Safeway for 33 years. It was in this career that he remained until his retirement at the age of 67 years. Claude had several relationships but ultimately settled down 15 years ago with Tammy; who he spent the rest of his life with. Claude's life long passion was his music having been in a band almost 50 years. His pride and joy and wonderful friends in Trade Winds happily provided thousands of people in the course of his music career with enormous joy and laughter. He cherished his step-children and grandchildren right up until his passing.
Claude will be lovingly remembered by his wife Tammy; daughters Jaimee Jensen, Chonttelle (Sean) Letto, Jamie (Tommy) Cheater; sisters Claire (Rick) and Paulette (Calvin); and brothers Gerry and Roger (Beverly); and four grandchildren.
Claude is predeceased by his parents Leo and Jeanne; and brothers Fern and Luke.
In keeping with Claude's wishes, a private gathering of friends and family will hold a Musical Celebration of Life from the Drake Hotel (3945 118 Ave, Edmonton) at a later date.
If family and friends so desire, memorial contributions are gratefully accepted to MusiCounts Canada.
