Obituary of George Switzer

It is with great sadness that the family of George Louis Switzer announces his sudden passing on October 5, 2015, at the age of 87 years. George was the fifth of six children born to Louis and Grace Switzer, and grew up in Airdrie, Alberta.
George was predeceased by his wife Una in 2000; two brothers, Ken and Harry; and two sisters, Romaine and Marilyn.
He will be lovingly remembered by his children, Craig (Debbie), Kim (Dale), Stuart (Arlene), Allyson (Lavern); nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and his sister Viola.
George will forever be remembered by his family and friends for his gentle spirit and kindness. The family extends its gratitude to the Louise Jensen Center in Camrose for the loving care he received there.
A Funeral Service was held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 13, 2015 from Ritchie United Church (9624 74 Ave NW Edmonton) with Rev. Timothy Thomas officiating. Friends and famiy were invited to the inurnment graveside service at South Haven Cemetery(5004-Meridian Street Edmonton) on Tuesday October 13, 2015 at 11:00am.
If family and friends so desire, memorial contributions are gratefully accepted to Ritchie United Church, or The Bethany Group.
