Obituary of Edith Lohr

Edith was born to John and Florence Johnston on April 11, 1916 at home on the north side of the Edberg hill. She was the eldest of four children. Edith passed away peacefully on Monday, February 23, 2009 at the Daysland Hospital.
In 1935 Edith married Clyde Lohr, and they made their home at Rosalind. They were blessed with 10 children. Edith's life revolved around her family, the farm and her garden. There was always coffee or tea and sweets on the table when her family and friends would come visit.
Edith leaves to carry on her profound love for life; five daughters Florence (Ted), Eileen (Jerry), Leona (Raymond), Cecelia (Delmont) and Brenda (Carl); four sons Donald, Larry (Cheryl), Lloyd (Carla) and Neil (Judy); numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Edith was predeceased by her husband Clyde; son Alvin; two sisters Lois Olstad and Helen Bieganek; brother John Johnston.
Funeral services were held on Thursday, February 26, 2009 from the Rosalind Community Hall with Rev. Brian Hunter officiating. Interment took place in the Melville Cemetery.
If friends so desire, memorial contributions may be made in memory of Edith to the Melville Cemetery Fund. ~ All donations made to the Melville Cemetery will be put towards a new fence in the spring ~
