Obituary of Joan Tod

Joan Elaine Tod passed away peacefully on November 17, 2015 at the age of 75 after losing her battle to pancreatic cancer. She is predeceased by her husband Robert Tod, and her parents, Mable and Charles Finlay.
Left to cherish her memory are her children Mike (Joan) of St. Albert, Haley (Joel) Pederson of Stettler, Alexa (Stuart) McConkey of Calgary, Phillip (Tara) of Mannville, and Phyllis (Morris) Knudsen of Maple Ridge, B.C.; and her 11 grandchildren Laura (Dan), Ian, Andrea, Alison, Elisha, Eric, Jaden, Brendan, Emily, Kayle, and Sara.
Joan was born in Mannville, Alberta, the only child of Mable and Charles Finlay. Joan received her teaching certificate from the University of Alberta. After Joan married Robert Tod, they farmed together in Mannville and later retired to Camrose. Joan was a celebrated photographer and gardener. Her beautiful roses and gladiolas will be missed.
A Funeral Service was held at 2:30 p.m., Friday, November 20, 2015 from the Burgar Memorial Chapel (4817 51 Ave Camrose, Alberta) with Rev. Alan Richards officiating.
If family and friends so desire, memorial contributions are gratefully accepted to the Canadian Diabetes Association, or to the Cancer Research Society.
