Obituary of Ruth Gozzola

Ruth Ann Gozzola of Camrose, Alberta passed away on Friday, November 20, 2015, at the age of 74 years. Ruth would like to let you know that her life's work here is now done. She received a call, a sort of an offer you can't refuse, for an appointment from which she will not be returning. This offer came with a huge sign-on bonus - a reunion with family and friends she has not seen in a long time. Job security is guaranteed for eternity. Her new mission takes her to a wonderful place where she will be socializing, dancing, gardening and yelling BINGO!! to her heart's content. Music, laughter and love are guaranteed. Food is delicious and you never gain an ounce. She left detailed instructions for all her relatives to celebrate her mission here, which has now been successfully completed. Low adherence to this instruction will not be tolerated, as she now has a very good friend, in a really high place. We want to let her know that she did a great job and wish her a safe journey. We will remember her smile, her warmth, her energy, her love for family, friends and life, but also colleagues and clients, many of whom over time also became friends. She worked very hard all her life, right up until the very end. She made a difference in the lives of many. We invite you to join us and celebrate together. Ruth has a large and loving family, her Husband of 57 years: Donald Joseph Gozzola; she was the mother of five Children Robin Gozzola and Rhona McNiven, Everett and Donna Gozzola, Darrell Gozzola (deceased) and Val Ledingham, Tami Gozzola, Loni Gozzola and Kristin Medernach, Dean Brewer; grandmother to twelve, Kyle Gozzola, Iain Gozzola, Jenifer Gozzola, Mandi Gozzola, Chad Gozzola (deceased), Tamarra Gozzola, Tyler Gozzola (Natasha Jones), Dallas Brewer (Colleen Swedberg), Stephanie Fraser, Shy-lynn Scandland, Alyssa Scandland, Alia Medernach , Lena Lutz (Jared), Lance Timothy (Courtney Banman), Adria Banman (Dean Latour), Jennalee Banman; great-grandmother to Alivia Gozzola, Chrissy Gozzola, Raine Gozzola, Liam Jones, Tatianna Fraser, Holden Fraser, Walter Lutz, Dean Lutz, Hans Lutz, Elsa Lutz, Alyssandra Banman, Acheron Banman, Dawne Herrring-Cooper, Isaac Banman; great-great grandmother to Lily and Emaleigh Gozzola. Ruth is also survived by her sisters Pauline and Evelynn; as well as many beloved cousins, nieces, nephews, and God-children. She was predeceased by her brother Johnny. A Liturgy of the Word was held on Saturday, December 5, 2015, at 1 pm from the Burgar Funeral Home Chapel in Camrose. Inurnment will take place at a later date.
