Dear Rhonda, Brian and family. It is unimaginable the pain and anguish you must be feeling. The loss of a child is, without a doubt, the most painful and unexplainable thing that can happen. Karen and I hope and pray that your faith in God Almighty will help to sustain you during this time of numerous questions. We remember your precious daughter as someone who (and we knew her mostly from church) who was courteous and willing to assist at all times. Your family were great people to know and work with and we sincerely hope that you do not change. With respect, Kelvin and Karen

I had the pleasure of volunteering with Virginia on the Manitoba 4-H Council. Her smile and pleasant attitude was always a treat. She was always looked upon as a great role model for young members. Thinking often of your family in this tragic time.

Virginia was an amazing person. I had the chance to work and travel with her through 4-H, and when ever I was with her she was always so happy, and ready to take on whatever lay ahead. She pushed hard for a seniors member conference in Manitoba, and this year it became a reality, She would be happy to hear it. I'm glad to have known her, and I am truly, very sorry for your loss. She will be missed.

So sorry for you loss. While I did not know Virginia well my contact with her through 4H was always positive. She was a warm, friendly open person to get to know. My daughter had her first Junior director experience with her (as room mates) and she enjoyed her time with her. You raised a beautiful daughter who had a more beautiful soul. While heavens gain is your loss, cherish your memories and celebrate the life she lived and the positive influence she had on many more than you will probably ever know.

Dear Brian, Ronda, Celeste and Brendan, It was with heavy hearts that 4-H Canada learned of the passing of Virginia. Virginia was a wonderful young woman, whom we had the pleasure of welcoming to our Members Forum last year in Toronto. There is no doubt that Virginia touched the heart of many people over the years as a 4-H’er, our staff included. On behalf of the 4-H Canada Board of Directors, the Canadian 4-H Council Foundation, as well as 4-H members and staff across Canada, please accept our deepest sympathies during this difficult time. Shannon Benner CEO, 4-H Canada

I was shocked and saddened to hear of Virginia's passing. She was such a great role model for younger 4-H members and took a position on council that is hard to fill. It is terrible that a girl just starting the next phase of her life has it taken away so suddenly.

Virginia will be missed by all who met her. She had become a wonderful responsible young women. Which means she possibly became even more of a bossy big sister to you, Celeste & Brendan. Ronda & Brian you did a good job raising such a nice caring person. I enjoyed my visits with her & passing on my "boots" to her. I will be thinking of all of you on Saturday & on Grey Cup Sunday. Take care Luanne.
