Mr. Duncan Powell of Camrose passed away on Wednesday, April 1, 2009 at the age of 83 years.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife Doris, his three sons, Dale (Cheryl) of Camrose, Raymond (Claire) of Edmonton, Robert (Pattie-Jay Callaghan) of Cochrane, and his nephew Marwood (Marilyn) Alexander of Stony Plain, Susan Powell the mother of Darcy and Trevor. Duncan is also survived by his six grandchildren, Darcy (Amanda) Trevor (Gyongyi), Tyler, Jayne, Denver, Karla, four great grandchildren, Dylan, Cohen, Laina, Dalton, his brother, Harry Powell of Lacombe, and two sister in laws, Evelyn (George) Cunningham of Camrose, Jean Wrolson of Rocky Mountain House, and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. Duncan was predeceased by his sister Joyce Krause.
Funeral Services were held on Saturday, April 4, 2009 at 2:00pm., from The Burgar Memorial Chapel with Rev. Brian Hunter (St. Mary's Hospital Pastoral Care) officiating. Cremation has taken place and a family inurnment service was held prior to the funeral in the Daysland Cemetery.
