Obituary of Timothy Clapson

Timothy Martin Clapson of Edmonton, formerly of Camrose, passed away on Wednesday, December 9, 2015 at the age of 53 years. Tim was born in Camrose to Marjorie and Lloyd Clapson. This is where he grew up going to school, enjoying his Church, Sunday School, Youth group: Beavers, Cubs and Scouts. Tim enjoyed camping, hockey, snowmobiling, motorbiking and especially fishing. Tim just loved life and lived it to the fullest - happy and smiling. He was a real people person. Tim was passionate and dedicated to his career of thirty five plus years in the Chemical Industries - beginning at Ostreme Chemicals in Edmonton in l980 and lastly with Canada Colors and Chemicals in Leduc. Tim acquired many good friends in his career, many supporting him through his illness. Tim was an avid sports fan of the Edmonton Oilers and the Edmonton Eskimos along with other sports and followed these till his passing. Tim is lovingly remembered and will be deeply missed by his family and friends. He is survived by his mother Marjorie and stepdad Garry Lafleur; brother Ken (Evelyn); son Ben Ferrier (Jordain); granddaughter Adysen - the love of his life; partner Paula Mersky and daughters Keesha, Sarah, Alexis: nieces Marilyn and Emily; nephews Micheal and Travis; aunts and cousins and many friends. He was predeceased by his father Lloyd (1973); brother Kevin (1977) and his sister Deborah (2014); his maternal grandparents Bill and Ella Nyback and his paternal grandmother Muriel Atkinson and several aunts and uncles. A Funeral Service was held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, December 19, 2015 from the Burgar Memorial Chapel with Rev. Liz Carter Morgan officiating. Inurnment has taken place in the Camrose Cemetery.
