Please share a memory of Anna to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Anna was born on May 12, 1929 on a farm near Bawlf, Alberta to parents Michael and Eva Noullett. She passed away peacefully on February 7, 2016 at St. Mary's Hospital, Camrose.
Anna grew up on a farm with her two brothers, Jake and Joe, and her two sisters, Katherine and Mary. She went to a school called Oak Park until 1942 when the school was closed. Then Anna and her siblings were bused to the school in Bawlf. After Grade 8, Anna had to quit school to help her Mom and Dad on the farm.
When she was 18, Anna left the farm and went to Camrose to work at St. Mary's Hospital. She worked in the kitchen and did some housekeeping. In 1953, when her father passed away she was called home to help with the threshing and cow milking. During this time, Anna also worked for many families in the community, helping with cooking and cleaning.
In 1956, Anna and her sister Mary went down to Medicine Hat to visit family. While there, they found jobs at an old folk's home. She stayed there for a couple of years and then returned to the farm.
In 1961, Gerald Michael was born. They remained on the farm until it was sold in 1963. At that time the family moved to Camrose.
Anna worked for Joe Duggan for four years and then found work in town at the Arlington Hotel. There she met Alvin Anonson. They were married on March 4, 1968.
Dean Floyd was born on July 2, 1968. Anna worked at the Alice Hotel for awhile, then at N.A.D.P. Her final job was working with Garth Maxwell for Alberta Transportation. She was a flag girl for seventeen years, right up until she retired at age 65.
Left to remember her are her sons, Gerald (Decey) of Sexmith, AB, Dean (Michelle) of Donalda, AB; sister Mary Wnuk of Camrose, AB; grandchildren, Joe, Benny, Krissi, Scott, Steven; great-grandchildren, Tristin, Koby, Savanah, Joshua, Sabastian, Korbin; Godchild, Jeanne Wnuk; and numerous nieces and nephews.
