Obituary of Brent Jonson

Brent Ashley Jonson passed away quietly in his sleep in Camrose on Wednesday, February 10, 2016. He was 33 years old. Brent was born June 10, 1982 in Camrose, Alberta to Dwain and Norma Jonson. He grew up youngest of three boys. After high school Brent studied history at Augustana University. He met the love of his life Kyla and was married November 11th, 2013. An avid sports enthusiast, Brent was passionate about the outdoors, and loved spending time with his family, friends and bulldogs. Brent was predeceased by his father Dwain, grandpa Walter, and maternal grandparents Margaret and Olaf Jorde. Brent is survived by his wife Kyla, mother Norma, grandmother Joyce Jonson, brothers Bob (Tanya) and Greg (Marie), Kyla's parent's Mervin and Hazel Duchscherer, brother-in-law Devin Duchscherer, sister-in-law Shanda Duchscherer (Mike Hall), six nephews and three nieces, and a host of relatives and very devoted friends. A Funeral Service was held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, February 18, 2016 from the CityLights Church (4920 48 St) with Rev. Bill Harder officiating. Inurnment has taken place in the Camrose Cemetery. If family and friends so desire, memorial contributions are gratefully accepted to the Alberta Diabetes Foundation, Canadian Addison Society, or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
