Obituary of Allister Burke Ferguson

Allister Burke Ferguson of Wetaskiwin, formerly of Innisfail and Lloydminster, passed away on Sunday, February 21, 2016 at the age of 50 years. We remember Burke as a quiet, gentle man who cared deeply for his family, especially Dad Ron and Mom Joyce. He made wonderful friends through all his travels across the prairies, many for life, and he cherished those friendships dearly. We know life was not the easiest for Burke but he found enjoyment working with his computers. We were all very proud when he finished his education with a degree in Computer Science from Brandon University. Since then, the internet kept him busy with various online ventures. Burke's faith in the Anglican communion assures us that his worries are over and he is at peace with our Lord. We will miss you. God bless. Burke is survived by his parents Ronald and Joyce Ferguson, brother Tom (Marilyn) of Ocean Shores, Washington, sister Thyra (Leonard) Verbaas of Coldstream, B.C., and nephew and nieces Connor Allan, and Hannah and Sarah Verbaas. Burke was predeceased by both his maternal and paternal grandparents. A Funeral Service was held at 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, March 8, 2016 from the Bethany Meadowws Chapel with Rev. Garth Wehrfritz-Hanson officiating.
