Obituary of Kenwood "Ken" Osness

Ken was the youngest son of Lloyd and Virgina Osness born May 3, 1962 in Camrose. Ken spent most of his life around Camrose and area.
Ken loved life on the farm. He was all boy, loving anything with wheels and motors. This love remained with him his whole life, always fixing vehicles and sleds. He spent many hours camping, sledding and hanging with his friends. Ken always had a mischievous grin and warm smile for all who knew him.
Ken's greatest love in life was his son Justin who grew to be his Dad's best friend. After a long, courageous battle with cancer, Ken was able to pass peacefully in his home on March 31, 2016.
Ken will be lovingly remembered by his son, Justin (Brooke) Osness, her boys, Evan and Jace; his sister Carol (Brian) Armstrong, their children, Chantelle (Joshua) Anholt, Peyton and Brynleigh; Bryce Armstrong, Chayla Armstrong; Ken's loving companion Sheree, her daughters Fiachra (Vania), Mariah (Dallas) Grant and their daughter Lyla; step-daughters, Shelby, Jordan and Melani (Eric); Aunties Donna Brock, Hazel Kucinskas, Gloria (Gerry) Barbas, Loretta (Ron) Foshaug, Dorothy Photenhauer; and Uncle George Osness; as well as numerous cousins and friends.
Ken was predeceased by his grandparents Victor and Lily Osness, John and Hattie Vikse; parents Lloyd and Virginia 'Ginny' Osness; sister Vicki; brother Victor; nephew Christopher Armstrong; Uncles Fred Barber, Eric Brock, Pete Kucinskas, Norm Photenhauer, Charles Snowdon; Aunties Gladys Snowdon, Gladys Osness, Bernice Barber; and cousins Warren Osness, Lance Vikse and Heather Photenhauer.
Ken is survived by his companion Miss Sheree, son Justin (Brooke Bertschi) Osness of Camrose, and sister Carol (Brian) Armstrong of Lougheed.
He was predeceased by his parents, Lloyd and Virginia, sister Viki, brother Victor, and nephew Christopher Armstrong.
A funeral service was held on Friday, April 8, 2016 at 1 pm from Messiah Lutheran Church in Camrose with Bev Swanson officiating. Inurnment has taken place in the Camrose Cemetery.
