Faye Elizabeth Beesley of Camrose, Alberta passed away on Monday, April 11, 2016 at the age of 72 years.
Faye was born September 7, 1943 in Camrose, Alberta. She was the second of five children born to Walter and Molly Beesley.
She attended Daresbury school outside of Camrose and then Sifton School. When she was 17 years old she went to work for The Camrose Canadian. She worked there for 47 years until her retirement in 2008.
She spent her whole life in and around Camrose living on the family farm. She joined many ball teams through the years and spent a lot of time curling and golfing. She also loved to travel near and far.
Faye spent a huge part of her time with her family, especially all her nieces and nephews and more recently her great-nieces and great-nephews. She was always a constant presence on the sidelines of any sporting event that anyone in the family was involved in. Faye was always up for anything and could be called on to help anyone with anything and everything.
Faye leaves to mourn her sisters Lois (Wayne) Schinkinger of Athabasca and Jean (Bryan) Hergert of Leduc, sister-in-laws Elaine Beesley and JoAnn Beesley both of Camrose, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, neighbors and friends.
Faye was predeceased by her parents, Walter and Molly, brothers Jack and Fred and one niece.
She was loved dearly by all and will be greatly missed.
A funeral service was held on Friday April 15, 2016 at 1:00 pm from the CityLights Church in Camrose with Rev. Brian Hunter officiating. Inurnment has taken place in the Camrose Cemetery.
Memorial contributions are gratefully accepted to STARS or to the Alberta Cancer Foundation.
