Florence was born on December 5, 1935 in Camrose , Alberta. She passed away peacefully on April 14, 2016 in the St. Mary's Hospital, in Camrose. She was raised on a farm in the Rosalind area with her parents Clyde and Edith Lohr. Florence was the eldest of ten children. Florence attended school in Rosalind.
Florence married Ted Boden, of Edberg, on August 12, 1960. In 1961 they moved to their farm outside of Edberg, where they started their family. They farmed in the Edberg area for many years where they raised their three children, Shirley, Dennis and Sharon. Ted and Florence retired and moved to a home in Camrose, where she lived until her passing.
Florence was a constant companion to her husband Ted, going to the gravel pit, picking up parts, coffee dates at the Norseman and playing bingo. Florence also enjoyed her flowers and feeding the wild birds.
Florence was predeceased by her husband Ted, brother Alvin and sister Leona.
Left to cherish her memory; daughter Shirley (Les) Erickson, son Dennis (Karen), daughter Sharon (Jeff) Banack; six grandchildren Emily (Logan), Jesse (Sarah), Dylan, Caitlyn, Hillary Brandon; sisters Eileen (Jerry) Mutchler, Cecelia (Delmont) Seiferman, and Brenda (Carl) Hildingson; brothers Donald, Larry (Cheryl), Lloyd (Carla), and Neil; and numerous relatives and friends.
A Funeral Service was held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 19, 2016 from Messiah Lutheran Church with Rev. Brian Hunter officiating. Interment has taken place in the Edberg Lakeview Cemetery.
If family and friends so desire, memorial contributions are gratefully accepted to The Edberg Lakeview Cemetery Fund, or to the Alberta Cancer Foundation.
