Obituary of Roxanne Kroetsch

Roxanne Marie Kroetsch of Daysland, Alberta, passed away on Wednesday, April 20, 2016, at the age of 48 years. Roxanne was born on April 3rd, 1968 in Daysland, Alberta to her parents Lawrence and Audrey Makarowski. Roxanne took her schooling in Daysland. In 1989 Roxanne married Alan Kroetsch of Heisler. Alan and Roxanne had a double wedding with her sister Charlene and Alan's brother Richard Kroetsch at Koppernick Church. They were blessed with two children; a son Travis, born in 1990 and a daughter Brooke, born in 1994. Roxanne enjoyed curling, camping and spending time at the lake lot with family and friends. She took pride in her work and was always willing to lend a helping hand. Roxanne lost her battle with cancer on April 20th, 2016 with her family and friends by her side. Left to cherish her memory are her loving children Travis (Kelly Hahn) and Brooke. Her companion and best friend Bill Smolski and his family of Killam; her father Lawrence of Camrose; two sisters Cheryl (Barry) Ness and their children Karlie and Cody (Ashley) of Camrose, Charlene Kroetsch (George Lepard) and children Briana (Brad Streich) and Clayton of Daysland. Roxanne was predeceased by her husband Alan, her mother Audrey Makarowski, brother-in-law Richard Kroetsch. Mass of Christian Burial was held on Tuesday, April 26, 2016, at 10 am from Our Lady of the Prairies Roman Catholic Church in Daysland with Father Leon Kler as Celebrant. Interment has taken place in the Daysland Cemetery.
