Mary and Family, Our hearts are heavy to hear the passing of Alvin. I loved coming to your home to clean as he reminded me of my dad. Loved his smile and he had such a warm friendly greeting. Mary you were a very lucky woman to have had Alvin as your husband. He will certainly be missed but now in Heaven with no more pain. His memories and spirit will live forever. You all are in our prayers.

Dear high school chum Marilyn, It seems we're never old enough or mature enough to dispassionately lose a 90 year old parent. One minute we're good adult children handling all the details and the next minute we have the mental set of a 10 year longing for daddy. I admired your continuing close relationship with your parents and the long time you had with your dad ... perhaps longer than most, if not all, of our high school classmates had with their fathers. Oh Marilyn - here's a big hug. It's an emotional roller coaster. If I can help fasten your seat belt in any, I'm on deck.
