I was so sorry to hear about your loss. I have always remembered what a positive, cheerful Christian Ed was, and especially the year he taught our Sunday School class. He gave me an answer to a question which I have never forgotten - I said to him, "why would I want to go to heaven? Life is good here, and I don't want to die." And his reply was, "Would you really miss disease, poverty, wickedness, all the pain and hardships we have on this earth?" - in other words, why would we NOT want to go to heaven! I am so thankful for his teaching, and the faith of all the people who worshipped at Bethany Lutheran Church, and pray that God will be with your family and strengthen you as you grieve your loss, but with the assurance that you will be reunited in heaven one day.

It was with great sadness to hear of Ed's passing. Ed was appreciated so much at our LCBI Home Comings. He will be sadly missed this year. Ed always said we were family when met at LCBI and we believe this to be true. Our prayers are with you at this sad time. We can be consoled that he is now with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
