Leona Fredrickson, formerly of New Norway, passed away on July 3, 2016 at St. Mary's Hospital.
She was born to Palmer and Annie Flohr on November 8, 1934. Leona was the oldest of their five daughters. Leona, at the age of nine, being the eldest of the five girls took the responsibility of helping her father with the farm duties and raising her sisters due to the sudden passing of her mother.
In 1952, she married Gordon Fredrickson of New Norway. They followed the drilling rigs and oilfield to various locations before moving to the family farm in New Norway. There they raised four sons. In 2005, they moved to Camrose.
Leona was a pillar of her church community and family. She deeply loved her family and friends and she was well known for her cooking, and hospitality to whoever paid a visit.
