Mrs. Julia Irene Chromik of Daysland, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 11, 2009 in the Daysland Hospital at the age of 85 years.
Left to cherish her memory are her children: Gene (Susan) of Strome, Orest (Leanne) of Edberg, Ben of Cochrane, Monica (Ted) Badry of Daysland and Cathy (Robert) Degenstien of Macklin, Saskatchewan; 15 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Julia is also survived by her brother Harry (Rose) and sister Florence Woywitka both of Edmonton.
Julia was predeceased by her husband Harry; daughters Patricia and Mary; and daughter-in-law Karen.
A prayer service was held at 7:00 p.m. Sunday, June 14, 2009 from Our Lady of the Prairies Roman Catholic Church in Daysland. Mass of Christian Burial was held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 15, 2009 from Our Lady of the Prairies Roman Catholic Church in Daysland with Rev. Leon Kler as celebrant. Interment followed in the Daysland Cemetery.
