The Green Bay Packers have lost one of their greatest fans. Gerald (Gerry) William John Varadi passed away on August 27, 2016.
Gerry was born on May 13, 1970 to Carol and Bill Varadi in Edmonton, Alberta. He brought joy to everyone he met. Gerry is survived by his daughter Sammi Jo Levins, brother Darryl Varadi, niece Olivia Armstrong, Uncle Larry Pempeit, Grandmother Daisy Pempeit and cousins Dean (Tanya) Pempeit, Brennen, Cordell (Jessica), and Courtney (Steven) Auntie Carol (Gary) Simmons, cousins Lyle, Kyra and Kristy, Camille (Jill) St Laurent, Laurie (Bruce) Shuck, as well as countless friends.
Gerry had a beautiful soul, a huge heart and a passion unlike anyone else for music. Please help us celebrate his life and the wonderful memories we have had with him.
Our family would like to thank Bart Orr and his team from Burgar Funeral Home, Pastor Bill Harder for leading the service and to Courtney, Jim, Troy and Ace for sharing their memories of Gerry.Thanks to all for joining us to celebrate Gerry's life, our beloved friend. A Funeral Service was held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 6, 2016 from the Radisson Hotel (4440 Gateway Blvd, Edmonton, AB) with Rev. Bill Harder officiating.
If family and friends so desire, memorial contributions are gratefully accepted to the Stollery Children's Hospital.
