Please share a memory of Bernard to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Bernard "Bernie" Kosinski was born on April 20, 1948 in Killam and passed away on September 15, 2016 in Camrose at the age of 68 years. He grew up with his three siblings and parents on a farm north of Strome. He worked on the farm until he was 19 years old. He moved to Camrose and worked at Marshall Wells and UFA CO-OP. As a young man, he wanted different experiences, so he got a position with Bank of Montreal, and worked in a few branches across Alberta. Bernie came back to Camrose and worked what was supposed to be a temporary job as a painter with Gary's Painting. He enjoyed the work so much he bought the business. Through his years painting in the area, Bernie painted upwards of 2,000 homes. Bernie loved the Bible and its message throughout his life and made many close friends at the Kingdom Hall. He made a personal decision to dedicate his life to his God Jehovah on October 25, 1969. His love for what he believed from the Scriptures was very important to him and stayed with him through his entire life. He married Wendy Panasuik on July 30, 1977. They had two beautiful children Adam, born April 12, 1980 and Heather March 20, 1982. They enjoyed the community of Camrose and all participated in telling others of their hope by their public witnessing activity. Bernie enjoyed vacations with his family and close friends when that could be arranged. They included visiting various countries and fishing and camping with his family. These moments were always a highlight in his life. He had a love of life attitude and was warmly thought of by friends and family. Bernie struggled for the past few years with some health issues, but despite those challenges, his love for his God and family never wavered. Bernie was predeceased by his beloved son Adam, father Albert, and brother Albert Jr. He is survived by his wife Wendy of Camrose, his daughter Heather (Rob) of Sherwood Park, his grandson Brodie, granddaughter Scarlett, mother Annie of Viking, sister Elaine (Alvin) Ovelson of Tofield, and brother Larry (Connie) of Camrose. A funeral service was held on Wednesday September 21, 2016 at 2:00 pm from the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 5201-46 Street, Camrose, with Elder Gary Panasuik speaking. In lieu of flowers , memorial contributions are gratefully accepted to the Watchtower Society or to the Stollery Children's Hospital.
