Edith Anne Carter of Camrose passed away on Tuesday, September 27, 2016 at the age of 94 years.
Edie was born on the family farm on March 8, 1922, she was the fourth daughter of Thomas and Kathleen Price.
After her schooling she worked on neighboring family farms doing odd jobs, babysitting and housekeeping.
On October 15, 1941 she married the love of her life Ken Carter. To this union there were five children born, Melody, Diana, Don, Rick, Barry.
She was predeceased by her husband Ken, parents Thomas and Kathleen Price, her infant sister Mary, her sister Margaret Shermack, her son-in-law Dick and her grandson Craig.
She will be forever missed and remembered by Melody and her children Ronna (John Fehr) their children Taylor, Marissa, Emily and Spencer. Trevor Kvale (Theia) and their children Dylan, Addyson. Nadine and her children Ryker, Bailey. Diana and her children Gord (Cindy), Randy (Kathy) and their children Lauren, Kaitlin. Nolan (Robyn) and their children Connor, Charlie. Maureen and her children Rylan, Dixan. Don (Barb). Rick (Gail) and their children Andi (Tyler Jessome) and their children Emerson, Jack. Kimi (Mitch) and son Cash. Mack (Becca). And her youngest son Barry. She will also be remembered by her sister Hilda Anderson, numerous nieces and nephews and friends.
A Funeral Service was held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 1, 2016 from Camrose United Church with Rev. Alan Richards officiating.
If family and friends so desire, memorial contributions are gratefully accepted to The Skafse Cemetery, St. Mary's Hospital Palliative Care, or to the Hospice Society of Camrose and District.
