Obituary of Michael Whitehead

Mike Whitehead, of Tillicum Beach, born and raised in Sedgewick, passed away after a hard battle with cancer surrounded by his loved ones on Wednesday, October 26th at the age of 59 years. Mike was taken from this world much too soon. He is survived by the love of his life, his wife Deb; their daughters and their families, Cassandra and Ryan Gillett and their children Katie, Adam and Nathan; Amber and Ryan Windrem and their children Jessalyn and Kaleb; Dani Whitehead; his very best friend Charlie, as well as his niece Carmen Payne who always held a special place in his heart and he considered to be one of his girls; his sisters, Jeanette Harris and Gerry (Brian) Rombough; his brothers Pat (Esther) Whitehead and Tim Whitehead; his mother and father-in-law Millie and Julian Stoltz also numerous nieces and nephews and so many friends. Mike was predeceased by his father Bert, mother Belva, his brothers Dale and Wayne, his sister Vikki and his father-in-law Gilbert Schulte. A Celebration of Life Service was held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 1, 2016 from the Killam Community Hall with Rev. Bill Harder officiating. Inurnment will take place at a later date. If family and friends so desire, memorial contributions are gratefully accepted to the Cross Cancer Institute, or to St. Mary's Hospital Palliative Care Unit.
