Mrs. Gladys Marie Nielsen of Camrose passed away on Sunday, July 26, 2009 at the age of 73 years.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband Asger; children: Annette O'Riordan of Camrose, Robert "Bob" Nielsen of Calgary, and Brenda Jackson of Millett; eight grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. She is also survived by five brothers: Holger (Delia) Sorensen of Innisfail, Swen of Wetaskiwin, Arne (Alice) Camrose, Harold (Francis) of Wetaskiwin, and Edwin (Karen) of Wetaskiwin; and Sister Elsie (Murray) Sherwin of Camrose.
Gladys was predeceased by her parents and sister-in-law Irene.
Funeral services were held on Friday, July 31, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. from Messiah Lutheran Church with Rev. Brian Hunter (St. Mary's Hospital Pastoral Care) officiating. Interment took place prior to service in the Camrose Valleyview Cemetery.
Memorial donations are gratefully accepted to the Cross Cancer Institute or St. Mary's Hospital Palliative Care.
