Obituary of Anne Koehli

Anne Koehli was born March 29, 1920 at Hardisty to William and Mary Gabruck. She was one of eight children and attended Daysland and Bateman Schools. She married Henry Koehli on June 9, 1948. They purchased a farm six miles northeast of Daysland and raised four children on the family farm. They retired into Daysland in 1974.
Anne loved the farming life and was proud of her beautiful garden. She and Henry loved to entertain and many friends, neighbours and family members dropped by for a night of cards and her baking. She loved to read, garden, bake, crafts such as knitting, crocheting and quilting, and playing bingo. She loved to attend all of her children's, grandchildren's and great-grandchildren's activities from ball and hockey to 4-H, music recitals and Christmas concerts.
She was predeceased by her parents, husband Henry, brothers John and Peter, sister Helen Strilchuk, sisters-in-law Rose Gabruck and Ann Gabruck, and brother-in-law Philip Strilchuk. Anne is survived by her children Kathy (Don), Rodney (Annette), Lawrence (Louise) and Marianne (Brian) as well as grandchildren Shawn, Donna, Jason, Nichole, Clayton, Ryan, Lindsay and Breanne, eleven great-grandchildren, brothers Victor, Stan, George and sister Olga Mosier.
A Funeral Service was held on Thursday, December 8, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. from Daysland Community Hall with Rev. Bill Harder officiating. Interment has taken place in the Daysland Cemetery.
Memorial contributions are gratefully accepted to the Daysland Legion Cemetery Fund or to Providence Place in Daysland.
