I have so many fond memories of P.J. and his family. From our first group piano lesson together I watched him grow as an artist and a person. We spent less time together as we got older, but I always enjoyed the chances we had to catch up when we bumped into each other. I still can't believe he's gone, and even though we were never close, I will miss him. Bob and Val, my thoughts and prayers are with you. Much Love.

I was one of the many nurses/physicians who endeavored to save P.J's precious life. As I pulled his wallet from his clothing that evening, his striking resemblance to my own son of the same age immediately overwhelmed me. I drove home after my shift in tears, fear, immense compassion and prayer for P.J and his family. I cannot imagine the grief you all must bear. I believe I can speak on behalf of my colleages when I offer my deepest sympathy and prayers for all who have been touched and blessed by P.J's life. Peace and Grace to you all.

Dearest Family: It is with a heavy heart I write you, as I knew PJ through his attendance at my own son's school. I saw him make wonderful music on his trumpet and saw him occasionally at Merchant's. He was a wonderful young man, and though I did not know him well - I knew him through his music. I am very sorry for your loss, and I have asked family and friends to pray for you to have strength and peace at this time. I know God is a compassionate God, and He will do his best to ease your suffering. My prayers are also with you, and I will be dropping a card off at Burgar, though under the name of Marianne Friesen. I regret I can not attend prayers or PJ's mass, as I have a job interview Tuesday afternoon in Calgary. However, I will be playing praise music and singing for PJ on Tuesday at noon, as are all his FB friends. May you feel God's presence and comfort, as He holds each and every one of you in His arms with love. Thank you for the gift of PJ, and he will be remembered forever, I'm sure. With all sincerity Marianne Bailey (Friesen)

As a parent I say "This shouldn't be". We all believe we should go before our children.
