I remember Wayne and Alora from high school days in Vernon, I always point him out on my grade 6 class photo as one of my friends. My condolences to Alora and the family. I was very surprised to find out about their loss.

Wayne worked with my raptor research program in the 80's...what wonderful memories when we were all 'immortal'...we all remember accusing him of being genetically part falcon somehow.

Condolences to Alora and family. It was such a shock to hear of Wayne's passing. I thought of him as such a pleasant and rather young person. I always looked forward to seeing him and Alora when I arrived at a PSG meeting. The bus trip from San Diego to La Paz and time spent on Midway together will always be among my fond memories. Oh man, Wayne was one of a kind; who he had great ideas, but was such a humble and nice person, as well. I am saddened by his loss. Hardly ever saw him but gonna miss him; we did have a great trip to Baja with Alora to PSG. Now this year, we have another PSG in La Paz and thinking of them.

I was so sorry to hear of Wayne's passing. I worked with him for many years and always enjoyed his passion for the natural world. His knowledge of EVERYTHING was amazing and many times I was late leaving the office in the evening because I had stopped and asked Wayne something on the way out.
