To all the Sutherland children, Our sympathy to you at the loss of your mother. Our son worked with Joyce at Safeway many years ago and, of course, Gord and I were good friends with Doug in his later years. Your dad always loved your mom. In our thoughts, Gord and Susan (Bo and Queenie)

We are so sorry to hear of Joyce's passing. My memories of Joyce are of her beautiful smile and her welcoming arms. Our families shared many meals and weekends. Joyce was an amazing cook and a meal at the Sutherlands' always meant an overflowing table. No one ever left hungry! When I was pregnant with our 3rd son Joyce welcomed me and my two sons into her home for 2 whole weeks. It was February and -35. The well wasn't working properly so there was hardly any water. Joyce was on strike at work so things were rough but what I remember is the care she (and all 4 of her kids) showered on me and my sons. Bruce was so relieved to know I was at Joyce's with our sons. He knew we were safe and cared for. Rest in peace Joyce. We will always remember you xoxoxo
