Denise Marie Therese Robinson of Camrose passed away on Saturday, March 25, 2017 at the age of 85 years.
Denise was born on September 2, 1931, to Alphonse and Marie Robinson, in Lafond, Alberta. She was raised on the farm, where she attended school and helped with chores. On November 27, 1949, she married Peter Robinson in Giscome, BC. They lived in Giscome and Willow River, where their children Therese, Norman, Robert, Peter Jr., Paul, and Brenda were born. In later years they moved to St. Paul, and finally they moved their family to Camrose in 1960. In 1968, Denise gave birth to twin girls, Pauline and Paulette. Denise always enjoyed time spent with her family the most. She enjoyed camping, visiting with her siblings, and caring for her grandchildren. And, the occasional cold one… Peter passed away in 1981, and years later Denise met Heinz Reddmann, who was also widowed. They spent a great deal of time travelling and enjoyed time spent with family. Heinz passed away in 1999. Denise's health began to fail, and she required open heart surgery and valve replacement in 2007. She then moved to Faith House, and later to Good Shepherd in Wetaskiwin. She passed away peacefully with her family surrounding her on Saturday, March 25, 2017.
Denise is survived by her children Therese, Norman, Peter Jr., Brenda (Shelley Ens), Pauline (George) Marcinkowski, Paulette (Wayne Leibel); nine grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; as well as Rick and Theresa Marcinkowski, whom she considered to be her children.
She was predeceased by her husband Peter, common-law spouse Heinz Reddmann, sons Robert and Paul, and all seven of her siblings.
A Funeral Service was held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, March 31, 2017 from St. Francis Xavier Roman Catholic Church with Rev. Joseph Jacobson as celebrant. Inurnment has taken place in the Camrose Cemetery at a later date.
If family and friends so desire, memorial contributions are gratefully accepted to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, or to the Hospice Society of Camrose and District.
