Phyllis Catherine McGee of Camrose, Alberta, passes away on Thursday, April 27, 2017, at the age of 89 years.
Phyllis was born November 3, 1927 in Medicine Hat, Alberta to Henry and May Sevalrud. She was the second of four siblings raised on the farm near Bow Island. Phyllis graduated from Nursing School in Medicine Hat in 1948 and moved to Camrose where she practiced for many years. This is where she met and married Bill McGee. To this union were born three children, Bob, Bill and Laurie.
Left to cherish her memory are her children Bob, Bill (Barb), and Laurie Spencer (Randy Tofsrud); two granddaughters Sheila (Dale) Oberst, and Courtney MacQuarrie; one great-grandson Dylan; her brother Lloyd Sevalrud; sister Avis Thomas; and numberous nieces and nephews.
Phyllis was predeceased by her husband Bill in 1997; and her older sister Izora Bergh.
A Funeral Service was held at 1:00 p.m., on Wednesday, May 3, 2017 from Burgar Memorial Chapel in Camrose, Alberta, with Rev. Brian Hunter officiating. Interment has taken place in the Camrose Cemetery.
