Obituary of Edmund "Eddie" Hartnett

It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts we announce the passing of Edmund in Camrose, Alberta on Wednesday May 24, 2017 at the age of 60 years. Eddie was born in Kingston, Ontario to Rita Kavanagh and Edmund Joseph Harnett. In 1980, Eddie moved to Alberta to further his career as a professional driver in the oilfield business. In 1992, he met the love of his life, Melissa. A few years later they had their beautiful daughter Chelsea. Eddie was a loving husband, father, uncle and friend. He was always there for them. Eddie was predeceased by his parents, and numerous aunts, uncles and friends. Eddie is survived by his loving wife Melissa; daughter Chelsea Hartnett (Rob Lien); brother Rick (Louise) Fraser and their children Benjamin, Cindy, and Richard; Benjamin (Madeline) Petkau, Carolyn (Jacob) Bueckert and their children Dallas, Jessie Lynn, and Elissa, and Debra Riva-Cambrin. A Memorial Service was held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, June 3, 2017 from the Devon Lions Park Ski Chalet (1140 Saskatchewan Ave E, Devon, AB). In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are gratefully accepted to the Alberta Children's Hospital (2888 Shaganappi Trail NW, Calgary, AB T3B 6A8) or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada (110-1525 Carling Avenue Ottawa, ON, K1Z 8R9).
