Obituary of Robert "Bob" Holmberg

Mr. Bob Holmberg of Camrose passed away on Friday, October 14, 2011 at the age of 85 years. Bob was born in Camrose, March 3, 1926 the fourth child of Carrie and Clarence Holmberg. He married Eldora Fitz in Ontario on August 1, 1945. He is survived by his wife Elly of 66 years and one daughter and two sons: Lois (Tom) Semmens of Camrose; Dave (Denise) Holmberg of Calgary; Brian (Sheryl) Holmberg of Red Deer. Also surviving are five Grandchildren; Kerri-Ann (Quinn), Geoffrey (Taralynn), Michael, Tyler (Carolyn) and Mandi (Blair). Seven great grandchildren; Jacob, Seth, Ethan, Ashlynn, Nicholas, Megan, and Isla. He was predeceased by his parents, his sister, Addy, and three brothers Rudy, Jim and Dave. Bob peacefully went home to be with his Savior on October 14, 2011. Bob was a husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend to all. His sense of humor would often catch you off guard but his quick smile was always there to laugh along with you. His creative ability naturally led to his true passion for woodworking; which he freely shared with others. His love of God, family, and friends will always be remembered. Funeral services were held on Tuesday, October 18, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. from Messiah Lutheran Church with Rev. Ken Grambo officiating. Inurnment followed in the Camrose Cemetery.
