Obituary of Todd Severson

(Leslie) Todd Severson was born on February 9th, 1965 in Edmonton, Alberta. Taken too soon from us on July 9th, 2017 at the age of 52, after succumbing to a heart attack and stroke. His decision to be an organ donor helped saved three lives. Remembered lovingly by his wife Tania; his sister Pamela (Marty); and his children Steven (Lori), Natasha (Stephen), and Ronald (Jennifer). He will live on in the hearts of his grandchildren Dylan, Zachary, Konrad, Elizabeth and Abigail. Also left to cherish his memory are mother and father-in-law Patricia and Allen Randolph, and their children Lisa (Tim), and Kevin (Julie), along with numerous nieces and nephews. Survived also by stepbrothers Zane Vowles and family, Bob Keohane and family, Michael Keohane and family, and Danny Keohane. Todd was predeceased by his parents Ronald and Betty Severson, his sister Dawn Grue, and his step sister Jennifer Vowles. Todd brought humor to every conversation, and laughter and smiles to nearly every memory. He excelled at most things he put his mind to, and loved tinkering on mechanical and construction tasks alike. He always had time to help a friend in need, and he loved having coffee and swapping stories with his buddies, and visiting his grandchildren. He almost always had a beloved pet that he would spoil shamelessly. Todd loved surprising people with thoughtful gifts, both big and small. Todd had a wonderful love for music, and memorized lyrics with incredible detail, but took great delight in substituting words to make the songs more interesting and funny. He was always looking for the humor in any situation. Always ready to share in that joyous humor was his sister Dawn; the two were inseparable for the majority of their lives. Almost any time you looked for one, you would find the other giggling about an inside joke or some other antic. Todd passed one short month after his sister Dawn, and now they're together again, likely off on another adventure. If love could have saved them, they would have lived forever. A Funeral Service was held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, July 22, 2017 from Scandia Lutheran Church with Rev. Charlotte Strecker-Baseler officiating.
