Obituary of Doris Pring

Doris Pring beloved Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother, passed away peacefully on July 16, 2017 at Tofield Extended Care facility at the age of 93 years. Doris was born on July 9, 1924 in Lachute, Quebec to Richard and Elizabeth (Muir) MacAdam. As a young woman Doris married Francis Frederick George (Fred) Pring on October 25, 1946 and together they raised five children. Doris and Fred travelled west to Alberta, finally settling in Camrose in 1990. She was an active member in the senior's community and enjoyed floor curling, card games and socializing with her friends and family. Doris was predeceased by Fred on December 10, 2002. Left to cherish her memory are her loving children Pat (Alain), Cecil (Mary Anne), Mary, Frank (Bev) and Fran (Denis); eleven grandchildren and seventeen great- grandchildren. She also leaves to mourn two sisters-in-law and numerous nieces, nephews and many friends. Doris was a strong and determined person which was even more evident in her final years. She was greatly admired and respected by her family and friends. She will be forever in our thoughts and hearts. A Funeral Service was held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, July 27, 2017 from Burgar Memorial Chapel with Rev. Brian Hunter officiating. Inurnment has taken place in the Camrose Cemetery. If family and friends so desire, memorial contributions are gratefully accepted to the Camrose and District Hospice Society.
