Please share a memory of Clinton to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Clint Luciuk of Camrose passed away on Saturday, October 15, 2011 at the age of 54 years. Clinton Joseph Luciuk was born on May 11th, 1957 in Bonnyville, AB. He was the second child born, after sister Shirley, to Joseph and Jessie Luciuk. He spent his childhood growing up in Bonnyville, Smoky Lake, Killam, and Sherwood Park. At a very young age Clinton found an escape and passion within the game of hockey. He continued to play hockey until suffering a severe knee injury as a teenager. After high school, in the summer of 1977, he met his future wife and love of his life, Monica. Clinton and Monica started their journey together in Spruce Grove, settling soon there after in Camrose. It was here that Clinton formed his own company. He was a perfectionist and took great pride in his work. Within a five year period, the family was blessed with three beautiful children, Michael, Melissa, and Christopher. Over the years he enjoyed his time with the family camping, vacationing to BC, and passing on his love for hockey to his children. Like his father, Clinton spent many hours in the yard, a labour of love to share with his family. His children were his pride and joy, by their side every step of the way. His love had no boundaries. Clinton helped anyone and expected nothing in return; his generosity, selflessness, compassion, and love will be carried on through those who loved him most. "Understand that happiness in not based on possessions, power or prestige, but on relationships with people you love and respect" -Clinton Luciuk Clinton was predeceased by his father Joseph and mother Jessie. Left to cherish his memory are his three precious children, Michael (25), Melissa (22), & Christopher (21), and their mother Monica; as well as sister Shirley (Larry) Rehaume; and many loving nieces, nephews, aunties, uncles, & cousins. Funeral services were held on Friday, October 21, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. from the Messiah Lutheran Church with Bev Swanson officiating. Inurnment followed in the Bonnyville Orthodox Cemetery. Memorial contributions are gratefully accepted to Canadian Mental Health, Camrose Hockey (for use for financial assistance for children in minor hockey).
