On July 16, 2017, Phillip L. Racine of Donalda passed away. He was born in Westlock on May 8, 1942 and was raised in Edmonton by his parents Ed and Irene Racine. In September of 1965 he was united in marriage to Joyce. To this union of 52 years, daughters Shaana (Keith), Cindy (Curtis), and Lori (Kevin) were born. He is survived by his wife; three daughters; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sister Annette; brother Ray; two brothers-in-law; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents; brother Denis; and three nephews. Phil enjoyed helping people. He was a mechanic but did designing, carpentry and other activities. He fought diabetes for 58 years. If family and friends so desire, memorial contributions are gratefully accepted to the Kidney Foundation of Canada, or to the Alberta Diabetes foundation or to the charity of one's choice.
A private Graveside Service was held on Saturday, July 22, 2017 at the Donalda Cemetery. The public were invited for fellowship and refreshments at 1:30 p.m., Saturday, July 22, 2017 from the Donalda Drop-In Centre immediately following the service.
If family and friends so desire, memorial contributions are gratefully accepted to the Kidney Foundation of Canada or to the Alberta Diabetes Foundation or tho the charity of one's choice.
