Megan Chromik of Victoria, B.C., formerly of Camrose, Alberta, passed away on Monday, July 17, 2017, at the age of 20 years. Megan was born on December 22, 1996 in Camrose, she was the youngest of four children to Dean and Carie. They all lived at Edberg for a number of years where Megan started school. The family then moved to Ferintosh and Megan continued her schooling in New Norway. Moving to Camrose after grade 6, Megan graduated from the Camrose Composite High School in 2015. She was in the process of obtaining her electrical ticket. Megan loved soccer and played until her heart condition wouldn't allow her to play as often or as competitive anymore. Megan then helped coach kids soccer teams. She got the travel bug when she went on a school trip to Greece and Turkey in grade 11. Then she traveled with friends to Mexico after graduation. Megan along with Brooke, Nirvana, and Jepah have also taken a few family trips to Mexico, once with her mom and another time with her dad. She went to Vegas with her mom, Jason, and all the siblings for New Years and enjoyed visiting Arizona on numerous occasions. Megan's goal was to make it to Japan. Carie took Brooke and Megan to New York to buy their grad dresses, along with her best friend Carly and her mom Michelle. Megan loved to cook and spend time with her animals; dogs, and cats. She always had animals growing up. Megan moved to Victoria in March of this year with her boyfriend Jake, to start their life together and to be closer to Carie. Left to love her always are her father Dean Chromik; mother Carie Gunderson (Jason); brother Jepah; sisters Nirvana (Dallas) and Brooke; Megan's boyfriend Jake Kungel; her grandparents Orest and Leanne Chromik, Victoria Hertz, and Don Gunderson; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and many adoring friends.
