Obituary of Alice Kneeland
Please share a memory of Alice to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Alice Kneeland of Camrose, Alberta passed away suddenly at St. Mary's Hospital at the age of 63 years. She leaves behind her loving family her sons Dean (Pengky) Nelson of Camrose, and Andy Nelson of Camrose; one granddaughter Chloe; sister Pat Noble of Warburg; and brothers Harvey Kneeland of Camrose, and Donald (Kim) Kneeland of Kingman; nieces, nephews, and many friends.
Alice grew up in the village of Edberg and moved to Camrose in Grade 12 with her family. After high school she got a job at Bethany as a care aide where she worked for six years. Alice left there to care for her family consisting of her husband Larry Nelson and sons Dean and Andy. Through the years she had a day home and part-time jobs to help support her family.
After the kids were nearly grown, Alice divorced Larry and started her own life. Not long after she went on disability because of her mental health and later diabetes.
Alice will be truly missed as we try to live without her love and motherly guidance.
A Funeral Service was held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 2, 2017 from the Burgar Memorial Chapel with Rev. Dyanna (Noble) Couture officiating. Inurnment has taken place in the Camrose Cemetery.
If family and friends so desire, memorial contributions are gratefully accepted to the S.P.C.A..
