Obituary of Harold Usselman

Harold was born in Killam, AB on November 29, 1949. He passed away on August 26, 2017 at the age of 67 years. On July 5, 1986, Harold was married to Patricia "Patti" Stirling. Together, they lived on an acreage near New Norway which Harold still called home up until August 4, 2017. Harold worked for most of his life as a Drilling Rig Manager for Nabors Drilling Intl., taking him to many places such as the Arctic Circle, Russia, United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Algeria, Oman and Iraq, to name a few. In his free time, Harold was very talented at woodworking and took pride in the quality and uniqueness of his work. He was also very skilled as a mechanic and enjoyed working on machinery he kept on the acreage. Left to cherish his memory are his daughter Jasmine and son-in-law Ryan; sisters, Marlene (Red) and Hilda (Mike); brother, Irvan (Jean); and Jasmine's in-laws, who he shared many holidays and family events with. He was predeceased by his wife Patti, mother Emma "Millie", and father Tony. He lived a very unique life and was greatly loved by those close to him. He will be greatly missed by his family, expectant grandchild, grand-puppies, and friends. A Funeral with Mass was held on Friday September 1, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. from St. Francis Xavier Roman Catholic Church in Camrose with Rev. Larry Pederson as celebrant. Inurnment took place in the Camrose Cemetery. If family and friends so desire, memorial contributions are gratefully accepted to Unit 2 Palliative Care at St. Mary's Hospital.
