Obituary of Clarence Huebner

Please share a memory of Clarence to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Clarence A. Huebner. He was born on November 4th, 1934, the second youngest child of nine, to Adolph and Martha Huebner on the family farm near Hay Lakes Alberta. He passed away, at his home on August 25th, 2017 at the age of 82 years. He was predeceased by his wife Joanne Lofgren Huebner, Noelle Ramey, parents and six siblings. He is survived by his son Darren Huebner; daughter Clarann; son-in-law, Stephen Petersen; and grandchildren Matthew and Benjamin Petersen. He is also survived by two siblings, Robert Huebner (Manitoba) and Lillian Snell (Camrose, Alberta) as well as numerous brothers and sisters in law, nieces and nephews. Dad lived and worked most of his life on the family farm and on his retirement acreage near Hay Lakes, Alberta. He was a kind, gentle hearted man who did everything he could to bless the lives of those he loved. He carried on his father's tradition of making furniture and doing wood working in his spare time. Until the later years he was constantly inventing, manufacturing or modifying equipment to suit his, or his loved one's needs. He built a tree mover and spent many a day digging up, moving and watering trees. He was blessed to do much travelling with the women in his life and with his son Darren. After retirement, he enjoyed golfing and skiing with his grandsons and friends and in the later years he treasured his time playing pool with the guys on Tuesdays and Thursdays. His strongest desire was to avoid moving to town and to pass away in his own home so God granted these desires of his heart which give us, the family, some comfort. There was nothing Dad loved more than spending time with his family and he treasured the breakfasts that Darren made for him many mornings, and the family suppers that were enjoyed on most Sundays. We wish these traditions would never end but we pray that he is now enjoying eternal life, reunited with mom and others who have preceded him. A Funeral Service was held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, September 2, 2017 from Wilhelmina Lutheran Church with Rev. Ron Chetney officiating. Inurnment has taken place in the Wilhelmina Cemetery. If family and friends so desire, memorial contributions are gratefully accepted to Wilhelmina Lutheran Church, or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
